Reverse description A standing figure of Hermes (Mercury), winged helmet on head and caduceus held in his right hand, reaches upward toward a tall Saturn V rocket in the central field. Surrounding this central composition is a border of twelve interlinking circles, each depicting a different stage of the Apollo 11 mission in relief, including launch, translunar flight, lunar module separation, moonwalk, splashdown, and recovery. The engraver's signature P. VINCZE appears at the base of the central figure.
