Obverse description The obverse features the VFW Ladies Auxiliary emblem in relief at center: a Maltese cross overlaid on a star, with military symbols in each arm including a cannon, anchor, saber, and rifle. At the center of the cross is a circular medallion bearing the Great Seal of the United States flanked by the legend LADIES AUXILIARY and VFW. The outer legend reads LADIES AUXILIARY along the top arc and TO THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS along the bottom arc.
