Obverse description High-relief bust of Crown Prince Wilhelm facing slightly left, wearing a military uniform with aiguillette and a large fur hussar's busby adorned with a skull-and-crossbones badge and a feather plume. The legend arcs to the left and right of the effigy within a beaded border, with the maker's signature visible in small letters at lower left of the bust.

Reverse description Central field bears the inscription WELT- / KRIEG / 1914 in three lines within a wreath composed of laurel and oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow.
