The obverse depicts a collage of Klaipėda landmarks in relief, including historic buildings of the Old Town, sailboats on the Curonian Lagoon, a large cruise or cargo ship, port cranes and industrial waterfront structures in the upper field, and a central square with a statue flanked by neoclassical buildings in the lower field. The legend KLAIPĖDA arcs along the upper rim, and a small mint mark appears in the lower field. |

The reverse features the coat of arms of Klaipėda prominently in the centre, depicting a fortified tower and drawbridge above a boat, with the legend KLAIPĖDA above the shield. Surrounding the coat of arms in the field are various symbols of Lithuanian cities including Vytis (mounted knight), theatrical masks, an ox, the Columns of Gediminas, and a bishop figure. A circular legend reading LIETUVOS MIESTAI and TOWNS OF LITHUANIA arcs around the upper periphery, and a wax-seal style medallion at the base displays the Lithuanian Vytis. |
