Reverse description The reverse features an elaborate interlaced Arabic calligraphic composition in the form of a pointed oval (mandorla) shape, rendered in high relief against a smooth, concave field. The ornate thuluth-style calligraphy depicts the Basmala, with geometric latticework and foliate arabesques interwoven throughout the design. A small hallmark or mint mark appears at the lower edge of the field.
