Obverse description Two jugate portrait busts in beaded oval roundels facing one another: Oliver Cromwell to the left and Menasseh ben Israel to the right. A seven-branched menorah in relief occupies the centre between the roundels, flanked by laurel sprays, with a small oval cartouche at the top of the field. The engraver's signature P. VINCZE appears in the lower exergue, and the names of the subjects are inscribed on a ribbon banner below the roundels.
