| Obverse description | The central field depicts in high relief the stone archway of the Acropolis entrance at Avdat, flanked to the left by three column drums of varying heights. The left field is decorated with engraved leaf and branch motifs derived from a Nabatean bowl. In the lower left, a stylized bird relief after a late Roman stone carving. The city name appears in Hebrew at the top and in Latin script as 'AVDAT' along the lower rim. |
