Obverse description A Viking longship under full sail navigates choppy seas, with two armored warriors standing aboard; a shield bearing a coat of arms is displayed on the sail's mast. Two birds fly above the ship in the field. The curved legend appears along the upper rim, with a two-line inscription in the exergue below, and the engraver's signature P. PETERSEN beneath.

Reverse description A full-length figure of the Norse god Heimdall stands in high relief on a raised plinth, blowing the Gjallarhorn with his right hand and holding a sword in his left, his cloak billowing dramatically. A rooster stands to his lower right, and a row of stars decorates the base of the plinth. The legend curves around the upper rim.
