Obverse description The obverse presents a finely detailed high-relief scene depicting a crowd of distressed businessmen gathered around a stock ticker machine outside a building, evoking the panic of Black Tuesday. The legend 'WALL STREET CRASH' arcs along the upper border and 'OCTOBER 29, 1929' along the lower border, both separated from the central field by a ring of six-pointed stars.
