Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse depicts a detailed relief scene of visitors at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, with elegantly dressed figures in the foreground including a woman in a wheelchair rickshaw and ladies with parasols. Grand exposition buildings with domed roofs and classical architecture fill the background. The circular legend reads 'AMERICA CELEBRATES ITS DISCOVERY' at the top and 'MAY 1 - OCT. 30, 1893' at the bottom, separated by five-pointed stars, with the engraver's initials 'JF' visible in the lower field.
