Reverse description The reverse features a portrait bust of Charles IV in an oval medallion at centre-top, flanked by ornate scrollwork, above two gold-plated representations of his ducat coinage: the obverse of the ducat showing the crowned king with sceptre and orb with the legend GRACIA KAROLUS, and the reverse showing a rampant lion with the legend BOEMIE REX ROMANORVM. The Czech coat of arms appears in relief at the lower field. The inscription DUKAT KARLA IV. is engraved in a cartouche at the bottom.
