Obverse description Central relief depicts the elephant-headed deity Ganesha seated cross-legged on a cushioned throne in full regalia, holding ritual objects in his multiple arms, with a bowl of sweets before him. An ornate beaded halo arch framed by floral and foliage motifs surrounds the figure, with two hanging oil lamps (diyas) suspended on either side of the field. Scattered lotus blossoms fill the lower field, above the legend 'happy diwali' inscribed along the bottom.

Reverse description Central relief depicts the four-armed goddess Lakshmi seated in lotus position atop a large open lotus flower, holding lotus blooms in her upper hands while coins spill from a lower hand into a bowl below. An ornate beaded halo arch with floral and foliage motifs frames the figure, flanked by two hanging oil lamps (diyas), with scattered lotus blossoms throughout the field; the legend '1oz 9999 SILVER' appears at upper right, 'happy diwali' at the bottom, the Perth Mint 'P' mintmark at left, and engraver's initials 'SR' at lower right.
