| Obverse description | Central relief depicts the elephant-headed deity Ganesha seated cross-legged on a cushioned throne in full regalia, holding ritual objects in his multiple arms, with a bowl of sweets before him. An ornate beaded halo arch framed by floral and foliage motifs surrounds the figure, with two hanging oil lamps (diyas) suspended on either side of the field. Scattered lotus blossoms fill the lower field, above the legend 'happy diwali' inscribed along the bottom. |
