Beschrijving voorzijde High-relief left-facing bust of Ceres with elaborately dressed hair adorned with a wreath of wheat ears, grapes, leaves, and other botanical elements, with braided locks falling to the neck and a decorative pin visible at the rear. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, with the engraver's signature W. KULLRICH F. incused in the lower field below the truncation.

Beschrijving keerzijde The field depicts two allegorical female figures: at right, a seated Britannia wearing a diadem and holding a trident upright in her right hand and a laurel wreath in her left; at left, a kneeling figure representing the colonies, turned toward Britannia, presenting a cornucopia overflowing with fruits and adorned with domestic animals. A tall sailing ship appears at the far left, and the facade of the 1862 International Exhibition building in South Kensington occupies the background. The engraver's signature appears in the lower exergue.
