Reverse description Allegorical scene depicting Britannia enthroned at centre, helmeted and in classical dress, holding the Imperial crown aloft in her right hand with rays emanating behind her, while a large draping flag is held to her right. Eight putti or cherubs surround her in animated poses. Above, a winged angel flies to the left blowing a trumpet. A curved legend appears at the top of the field, and a rectangular cartouche at the base carries the commemorative inscription.
