Reverse description Four allegorical figures in mourning posed around a draped coffin on a plinth surmounted by a royal crown: a seated female figure to the left, a central standing armoured Britannia leaning sorrowfully on the coffin, a grieving winged angel to the right, and a fourth female figure at the far left. A lion's head and a Union shield appear at lower right, with a lyre and other attributes at lower centre. The key dates of George IV's life and reign are inscribed around the periphery and in the exergue.
