Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed and draped bust of George III facing right in high relief, with ribbon-tied hair. The circumferential Latin legend records the king's title and birth date, running from upper left around the full border of the field.

Reverse description Britannia, helmeted and wearing scale armour, seated on a rocky shoreline, resting her right hand on a rudder post and her left hand on a large heraldic shield bearing the royal arms. At her feet stands a putto holding an open book displaying the Roman numeral XIX and an Irish harp, alluding to the Act of Union. The maker's initials K & K appear in the exergue, and the Latin legend arcs around the upper field.
