Reverse description A deeply engraved allegorical scene depicting the dying Sir John Moore supported by a winged angel, while a flying Fame figure above blows a trumpet and descends with a laurel wreath. To the left stands a female figure with a spear and fleur-de-lis standard representing Francia, and to the right Britannia with a Union shield and palm frond. A battle scene with cavalry appears in the right background. The engraver's initials P.W.F. appear in the lower right field. The Latin legend surrounds the scene, with the date in the exergue.
