Reverse description Britannia, helmeted and draped, stands upon a rocky promontory rising from the sea, holding a trident in her left hand and a winged Victory on a globe in her right. A lion is seated to her right, and to her left rests a heraldic shield bearing the royal arms of Great Britain surmounted by a crown. The circular legend appears around the upper field, with a two-line inscription in the exergue.
