Obverse description A large Gothic archway frames a view of Evesham Abbey tower and surrounding townscape, with a radiant sunburst emanating from above the tower in the upper field. In the lower foreground, a heraldic shield bearing a crowned motif rests amid scrolls and foliage, one scroll inscribed LIBER AB HENRICO. The circular legend runs around the periphery, with the engraver's signature SUFFIELD FECIT at the base.
