Reverse description Two allegorical female figures — Minerva helmeted and holding a staff at left, and Göttingia holding a cornucopia at right — clasp hands across a plinth bearing an open book. The upper field carries the curved legend MUSARUM IUNGIT AMORES, while the lower exergue contains a four-line Latin inscription commemorating the inauguration of the Georgia Augusta Academy at Göttingen on 17 September 1737.
