Obverse description The field bears multi-line incuse lettering identifying George D. Dean as numismatist and collector, commemorating 20 years of activity from 1964 to 1984, with references to Coles Book Arcade and the disciplines of tokens, medals and memorabilia. In the lower portion of the field, a stylised rainbow arc in relief is flanked by the address 8 Woolton St., Tarragindi, QLD 4121. The coin is bordered by a beaded rim.

Reverse description The field features a large relief depiction of a palm tree with drooping fronds rising from a grassy mound, occupying the upper and central portion of the design. To the left and right of the trunk, in two columns of incuse lettering, appears a moral motto. The engraver's initials AJP appear in the exergue below the tree. The piece is bordered by a beaded rim.
