Reverse description The reverse depicts astronaut Edward White in a pressure suit performing his historic EVA, shown diagonally across the field holding a hand-held maneuvering unit, with an umbilical tether coiling behind him; the Gemini 4 capsule is rendered in detail in the lower central field. A star field of scattered dots and small star ornaments surrounds the scene, with Italian hallmarks (925 fineness mark and assay marks) struck into the lower exergual area. The circumferential legend FIRST EXTRAVEHICULAR ACTIVITY BY WHITE curves along the upper rim, while GEMINI 4 and JUNE 3RD 7TH 1965 appear in the lower field and along the lower rim respectively.
