Obverse description Within a beaded circular border, a central imperial orb surmounts crossed royal scepter and sword, flanked by two crowns representing Denmark and Norway; above, the crowned royal cypher of Frederik III emerges from clouds in the heavenly field. The surrounding legend reads MANET ULTIMA COELO. Four small armorial shields occupy the corners of the klippe-shaped flan.
