Obverse description Three-quarter facing bust of Admiral Michiel de Ruyter, slightly to the right, set against naval trophies including cannons, flags, and anchors in high relief. He wears armour and the badge of the Order of the Elephant on a ribbon around his neck. Above, a triton and a nereid flank a crown held aloft over the admiral's head, while the circumferential legend and a scroll cartouche at the base identify him as Lieutenant Admiral General.
