Obverse description Bimetallic-style medallion with a gold-plated outer ring bearing the legend LETZEBUERG and a ring of stars at the base. The silver-plated inner field depicts iconic Luxembourg imagery including a monument with a standing figure, a grand building facade, the Court of Justice (CVRIA) with scales of relief, and the national motto 'Mir wëlle bleiwe wat mir sinn'. Two central roundels in gold plating reproduce the obverse of a Luxembourg euro coin showing a bust of the Grand Duke, and a Banque Centrale du Luxembourg commemorative design with the euro symbol.
