Obverse description Low-relief depiction of a Chinese fisherman in traditional dress striding forward while wielding a fishing pole with a net, a bird in flight above, a tortoise in the foreground, and a pagoda-style structure in the left field. The curved legend along the upper rim reads '1996 J. G. HÖROLDT 1696 - 1775', commemorating the Meissen porcelain painter Johann Gregorius Höroldt.

Reverse description Concave reverse with the iconic Meissen crossed-swords mark in low relief at the centre of a recessed field. The surrounding raised rim bears a circular inscription divided into three lines reading 'EUROPAS ERSTES PORZELLAN' at the top and 'STAATLICHE PORZELLAN-MANUFAKTUR MEISSEN' along the lower portion.
