Obverse description The obverse features a stylized relief depiction of an eagle-headed ceremonial staff pommel (cabeza de bastón) from the Sinú culture, rendered in a bold circular, swirling design with a concentric beaded ring at the center. The legend 'EL MUSEO DEL ORO' arcs along the upper border and 'CABEZA DE BASTON · AGUILA' along the lower, all surrounded by an outer border of alternating raised triangular motifs.
