| Obverse description | Conjoined busts of Edward VII, crowned, to the right, and Queen Alexandra, also crowned, to the left, with a spread-winged dove in high relief between them at centre top. In the lower field, the Coronation Chair with the Stone of Destiny is depicted centrally, flanked by a palm branch with a 'VICTORY' scroll to the left and an olive branch with a 'PEACE' scroll to the right. The legend curves along both sides identifying the monarchs, with an inscription in the exergue referencing the Coronation Chair and Stone of Scone dated 1297. |
