Reverse description The central field features a schematic relief of the bridge span at top, flanked below by two circular state seals side by side: the Great Seal of the State of Delaware (with dates 1793, 1847, 1911) on the left, and the Great Seal of the State of New Jersey (with date 1962) on the right. A ferry vessel is depicted in relief at the bottom of the field. The legend curves along the upper rim naming the Delaware River & Bay Authority, with the year 1962 at the sides, and a lower inscription noting the compact between the two states.
