| 背面描述 | Central square perforation (穿) with a raised square collar, flanked to the left by the Manchu script syllables ᠪᠣᠣ (Boo, representing the mint prefix 寶) and to the right by the Chinese cyclical character 癸 (gui), the tenth Heavenly Stem, cast in shallow relief against a plain field. The characters are rendered in a conventional Qing dynasty cash coin style, consistent with the Boo-Gui (貴州) mint attribution. The overall layout mirrors standard Qing cash coin reverse design conventions. |

A modern commemorative restrike rather than a period piece — the People's Republic has issued numerous medallic reproductions of Qing cash coin types, of which the Daoguang Tongbao series is among the most frequently replicated. The originals circulated under the Daoguang Emperor (r. 1820–1850), whose reign saw the catastrophic First Opium War and the subsequent Treaty of Nanking in 1842. The brass composition here departs from the lead-heavy bimetallic alloy of genuine Board of Revenue issues.
