Descrizione del dritto	The obverse features a right-facing portrait bust of King Willem I in high relief, closely modeled on the design of the 1818 1 gulden coin. The circular legend reads WILLEM KONING DER NED. G.H.V.L. and AFSCHEID VAN DE GULDEN, with 20 JAAR in the lower exergue and a decorative monogram device at the base of the portrait.

Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse is modeled on the reverse design of the 1818 1 gulden coin, featuring the crowned Dutch lion coat of arms in the central field flanked by the denomination 1 G, with the circular legend MUNT VAN HET KONINGRYK DER NEDERLANDEN and the date 2021 at the top, 1818 above, 100 C. below the shield, and 2001 in the lower exergue. The lower portion of the legend is rendered in inverted orientation.
