Reverse description The reverse depicts a harbour scene at Civitavecchia with several large sailing vessels and a galley in the foreground, their masts adorned with pennants and flags. To the right, a standing figure identified as the pope, accompanied by attendants and shaded by a ceremonial umbrella (umbraculum), observes the Papal States fleet. The curved legend arcs across the upper field.
