Reverse description A crossed sword and scepter in the central field, surmounted by the Danish royal crown, the whole surrounded by an open laurel wreath tied with a ribbon bow at the base. The legend GUD OG FÆDRELANDET appears along the upper border, with the date SALVEDE XXVIII JUNII MDCCCXL inscribed in the lower exergue.
