Obverse description Right-facing truncated bust of King Christian VI in high relief, wearing armor, ermine mantle, and a laurel wreath in his flowing wig. The engraver's signature I.G. HEDLINGER F. appears below the bust in the lower field. The circular legend runs along the raised rim.

Reverse description The reverse depicts a royal throne beneath a crowned baldachin draped with an ermine mantle, the throne back decorated with the crowned royal arms. Two pairs of female allegorical figures flank the throne, each holding symbols of royal virtue and power including a scepter, sword, shield inscribed DEO ET POPULO, and a palm branch. A lion reclines on the steps before the throne. The legend VT FVLGENT VT IVNCTA BEANT arcs across the upper field, while the commemorative inscription in the exergue records the anointing ceremony at Frederiksborg on 6 June 1731.
