| Obverse description | Colored bust of Charles de Gaulle in presidential attire occupies the central field, framed by a V-shaped design element. To the left in relief, the presidential Citroën DS with an honor guard; to the right, the grand collar of the Legion of Honor. A colored tricolor ribbon runs across the lower field, with a central medallion bearing the Cross of Lorraine and de Gaulle's facsimile signature.
