Reverse description A flying allegorical figure of Mercury, wearing a winged helmet, holds a caduceus in one hand and a cornucopia overflowing with fruit and coins in the other, soaring above a detailed panoramic view of the port of Rouen with ships and the city skyline in the background. The engraver's initials D.V. appear to the right in the field. The upper circular legend reads FIRMATA CONSILIO COMMERCIA, while the exergue contains a three-line inscription: VIRI ROTHOMAGENSES / COMM. REGUND. / MDCCLXXXI.
