Obverse description A standing classical warrior in high relief faces the viewer, right arm holding a sword upright with elbow resting on a fasces, left arm extended outward bearing a shield adorned with a double-headed eagle. Fallen combatants and scattered arms lie at his feet. A curved Cyrillic legend arcs above, with the date 1813 in the exergue, and a secondary inscription below referencing the medal's authors Tolstoy and Ljalin dated 1835.
