| Obverse description | A rising sun depicted over a horizon in the central field, flanked on either side by tall stalks of grain or bamboo rising from the lower relief. The entire central composition is enclosed within a rectangular frame, surrounded by a wreath of laurel or foliate branches in low relief. A suspension hole is present at the top of the medal. |
