Obverse description Three-quarter aerial perspective view in high relief of the Asahi Shimbun headquarters building complex, depicting a large multi-storey Western-style structure with a prominent central clock tower flying a flag, flanked by subsidiary wings and an additional building to the rear. Japanese lettering in Katakana appears on the facade of the main wing. Designer's initials visible in the lower right field.

Obverse lettering アサヒシンブン
Reverse description The reverse features a large recessed rectangular panel containing cursive Japanese calligraphic text rendered in flowing script, framed within the field. To the upper right, a raised rectangular cartouche bears the inscription of the Osaka Asahi Shimbun in Kanji. Above the panel, two large Kanji characters reading 記念 (commemoration) appear in bold relief. Along the lower rim, the date in Showa era notation is inscribed, and to the lower left, the Osaka Mint mark and manufacturer's inscription appear.
