Reverse description A detailed lunar surface scene in relief depicts two suited astronauts on the cratered terrain of the Sea of Storms, with the Surveyor 3 probe and the Intrepid lunar module at left, a third astronaut and equipment at right, and the Command Module Yankee Clipper orbiting above at top centre. The Earth (or Moon) appears in the upper right field, and the Wellings Mint monogram 'IM' is visible in the lower centre field. The legend '19 NOVEMBER 1969' curves along the upper rim, with 'INTREPID AND SURVEYOR 3 IN THE SEA OF STORMS' along the lower rim.
