| Obverse description | Bare-headed portrait bust of sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen in high relief, facing right, within a raised inner circle. The engraver's signature C. CHRISTENSEN F. appears in the lower field below the truncation. The wide outer border features a continuous frieze of finely detailed classical figures — gods, warriors, and mythological scenes — rendered in low relief, reflecting Thorvaldsen's devotion to antiquity. |
