| Obverse description | A standing male figure in traditional Norwegian farmer's attire holds an axe in his right hand and rests his left hand on a shield bearing the Norwegian lion. To his left stands a memorial stone inscribed 'EIDSVOLD 17 MAI 1814', with a lighthouse and sailing vessel visible in the background; mountains and a cabin appear to the right. The legend arcs along the upper rim, with the engraver's signature in the lower exergue. |
