| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the legend '17 MAI 1886' appears in the central field beneath a radiant star, all enclosed within a laurel wreath tied at the base. A circular legend runs between two concentric rings surrounding the central device, with radiating line decoration filling the recessed hexagonal border. Rosette ornaments in relief appear in five of the six corner lobes, and a suspension ring is fitted at the top. |
