Obverse description Facing three-quarter left bust of Edward Henty in high relief at centre, set within a raised inner circle. The name EDWARD HENTY and the epithet VICTORIA'S PIONEER appear in the field flanking the bust, with PORTLAND below. The surrounding legend reads TO COMMEMORATE THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST SETTLEMENT with the dates 1834 and 1934 in the lower field.
