Reverse description A spread-winged eagle in high relief dominates the center, its wings stylized to evoke the twin peaks of Mount Ararat. The eagle clutches a shield bearing a cross with a swastika-like eternity symbol, beneath which a downward-pointing sword rests on a classical Ionic column capital with spiral volutes referencing the Garni temple. The date 28.5.1918 appears in the upper field, the mint mark ЛМД is visible to the right of the central device, and an Armenian legend arcs along the lower rim.
