Descrizione del dritto	Right-facing bust of Prince Louis II in military uniform with epaulettes, occupying most of the field. A crowned royal monogram appears to the right of the effigy. The circular legend reads the birth and death years flanking the left arc, and the prince's title along the right arc.

Descrizione del rovescio	The crowned coat of arms of the Principality of Monaco in high relief, supported on each side by a monk-like figure in robes holding a sword. The circular legend in Latin abbreviates the Prince's titular dignities, reading along the upper arc and inverted along the lower arc. A small mintmark appears at the base of the coat of arms.
