Obverse description High-relief depiction of a fortified Thiérache church with three conical towers and a cross finial occupying the center and right of the field, flanked on the left by three heraldic shields — the uppermost bearing a lion rampant, the middle one charged with fleurs-de-lys, and the lower one with a diagonal band and fleurs-de-lys — alongside a sword entwined with foliage. The legend 'LA THIERACHE' arcs along the upper rim, with the date '1918', the place name 'HAUDROY', and the engraver's signature 'G. THUROTTE' inscribed in the field.
