Obverse description Left-facing bust of Ceres in high relief, her hair elaborately dressed with a laurel and olive wreath, flowers, and a braided chignon, wearing a diadem inscribed CONCORDE and a pearl necklace. A six-pointed star appears above in the field. The engraver's name OUDINE is inscribed in the lower exergue, and the legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE curves along the beaded border.
