Пивара Скопје АД — Skopje Brewery — issued these meal coupons for internal use as part of an employee welfare scheme, a practice common across Yugoslav successor-state enterprises still operating under legacy industrial management structures in the early 2000s. Such coupons functioned as a non-cash benefit, redeemable in the company canteen, and were never intended to circulate beyond the factory premises.
The brewery itself dates to 1924 and was privatized following Macedonian independence. By 2003 it was majority-owned by Heineken.
